Co-organized the 3rd International Conference on Innovations in the Social Sciences and Humanities (ISSH 2024) at Ton Duc Thang University, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The Center of Geosocial and Cultural Research for Sustainable Development (GSCR) at Walailak University co-organized the 3rd International Conference on Innovations in the Social Sciences and Humanities (ISSH 2024) alongside Ton Duc Thang University (Vietnam) and other partners, including the University of Melbourne (Australia), Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania), the Higher School of Economics (Russia), Jadavpur University (India), London Metropolitan University (UK), and Gampaha Wickramarachchi University of Indigenous Medicine (Sri Lanka). The event will be held on July 26–27, 2024, at Ton Duc Thang University, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Scholars from various countries presented engaging papers and participate in discussions on conference themes, which include innovations and social change in the global context, innovations in tourism, and innovations in social work. Siriporn Somboonboorana, head of GSCR, delivered a talk on the TikTok phenomenon and the content economy in Southern Thailand, highlighting the roles of language, food, culture, and more. Walailak University appreciated Ton Duc Thang University for their warm hospitality and academic contributions. The collaboration between Walailak University and Ton Duc Thang University is expected to strengthen and move forward in the coming stages.
