The Center of Excellence in Tropical Pathobiology, School of Medicine, Walailak University, organized an international seminar on “Transdisciplinary Perspectives in Health Sciences” as part of the Walailak Research Convention 2026 (WRC 2026).
On this occasion, the Center was honored to host two invited speakers from the School of Medical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Malaysia:
- Prof. Dr. Norsuhana Binti Omar, who delivered a lecture on “Nature-Based Therapeutics for Sustainable Healthcare: Integrative Approaches in Modern Medicine”
- Prof. Dr. Mohd Shahrulsalam Bin Mohd Shah, who presented on “Advancing Paediatric Surgery in a Sustainable Era: Updates, Innovations, and Future Directions”
The seminar attracted strong interest from faculty members, researchers, and students at both graduate and undergraduate levels, including medical students. The atmosphere was warm and engaging, encouraging active participation, knowledge exchange, and meaningful discussions among participants.
The event also provided an opportunity for academic dialogue and exploration of future collaboration between institutions.
This activity highlights the importance of transdisciplinary approaches in advancing health sciences and strengthening international academic collaboration, contributing to the development of research and innovations that address future global health challenges.
