Between September 18-21, 2025, Dr. Tatcha Balit, a researcher at the Center of Excellence in Tropical Pathobiology, Walailak University, participated in the IADR-SEA and IADR-APR & 35th ISDR Annual Conference 2025 in New Delhi, India. Widely recognized as a leading international forum in dental research, the conference brought together researchers, dentists, scientists, and experts from across the globe to exchange knowledge and showcase the latest advancements in the field.
During the conference, Dr. Tatcha Balit participated as a co-author of a research project presented by a fifth-year dental student from Mahidol University, titled “Functional sensory neurons derived from human stem cells from apical papilla.” The study explored the induction of stem cells from the apical papilla of teeth to differentiate into functional sensory neurons. Presented as an oral presentation, the work received the Runner-up Award in the IADR-SEA Unilever Hatton Divisional Award – Junior category.
This participation offered a valuable opportunity to acquire knowledge and exchange experiences in biomedical and dental research, contributing to the advancement of scientific innovation in Thailand. It also fostered international academic collaboration, with the insights gained expected to inform future research.
