Asst.Prof.Dr. Tanaporn Khamphaya
Dr. Tanaporn Khamphaya is an Assistant Professor at the School of Public Health, Walailak University, Thailand, with expertise in toxicology, liver pathophysiology, and endothelial biology. She holds a Ph.D. in Toxicology from Mahidol University and completed postdoctoral research at Yale University, focusing on liver inflammation and endothelial dysfunction. Her research centers on IL-6/STAT3 signaling in liver sinusoidal endothelial cells (LSECs) and the role of Thai herbal medicines, such as mitragynine from Kratom, in liver disease prevention and treatment. She combines in vitro and in vivo methods to explore liver health and natural therapies. In addition to her active teaching and graduate student supervision, she contributes to curriculum development and international collaborations. Her long-term goal is to integrate traditional Thai medicine with modern biomedical research to advance evidence-based liver disease prevention and public health strategies.
