My name is Tagese Yakob Barata, a public health professional from Ethiopia with a Master’s degree in Epidemiology. I previously served as CEO of Bele Primary Hospital, where I led programs in disease prevention, maternal and child health, and digital health systems. My research focuses on chronic and infectious diseases in underserved communities, with over 14 peer-reviewed publications in journals such as BMJ Open and Frontiers in Endocrinology. I am passionate about using epidemiological evidence to strengthen health systems and reduce disparities in low-resource settings.
