On Saturday, 8 August 2026, the School of Public Health, Walailak University, welcomed Associate Professor Rohmatul Fajriyah from the Islamic University of Indonesia for an academic discussion aimed at exploring future collaboration in graduate education, teaching, research, and academic publication.
The meeting was joined by Prof. Dr. Charuai Suwanbamrung, Head of the Excellent Center for Public Health Research and Chairman of the Master of Public Health and Ph.D. Programs in Public Health Research, School of Public Health, Walailak University, together with Lecturer Nitima Nulong.
The discussion focused on strengthening academic cooperation between the two institutions and expanding opportunities for international engagement in graduate education. Key areas included promoting opportunities for international students to pursue graduate studies at Walailak University and developing potential collaboration in graduate student supervision, including roles as co-advisors and external or joint examiners for qualifying examinations.
The meeting also explored opportunities for academic exchange through guest lectures and invited teaching, particularly in the area of data analysis, with the aim of enhancing studentsâ research competencies and broadening their international academic perspectives.
In addition, both parties discussed potential collaboration in joint research, co-authored publications, and the development of new research projects addressing shared interests in public health and related fields.
This academic discussion marks another important step toward expanding international academic networks and fostering sustainable collaboration in graduate education, research, publication, and professional development between Walailak University and the Islamic University of Indonesia.
