Role and Duties

1. The center of Excellence for Tourism Business Management and Creative Economy (TBUS) has driven the social university engagement in Krabi province since 2012. Currently, The Center of Excellence for Tourism Business Management and Creative Economy (TBUS) are developing the management plan and strategy to drive Krabi province to be high value destination with the collaboration with the Center of Excellence for Ecoinformatics. We also collaborate with the government – Krabi province, and also private sector; i.e. Krabi tourism businesses, and different tourism organizations in Krabi. In this project, we aim to drive competitive capabilities to be high value destination through international standard, to drive environmental management, to drive high value destination brand, and to develop management plan and strategy, including to design and develop the case studies of development; i.e. Ao Nang beach and Ao Tonsai pier, Koh Phi Phi.

2. The center of Excellence for Tourism Business Management and Creative Economy (TBUS) plays an important role in driving products and services brands by consulting the stakeholders in regarding to branding in different places of Thailand; e.g. Buriram Sugar, PLC., Buriram provine, Sweet tamarind, Phetchaboon province, Tan Khun Farm, Udornthani province, Krabi Coffee, Krabi province, Krabi Experience, Krabi province, Moo Moo Fast Food, Nakhon Si Thammarat province, and so on. This also includes the consultants and guest speakers for public and private organizations.

3. The Center of Excellence for Tourism Business Management and Creative Economy (TBUS) focuses on the creative disign and media for developing new products and packaging for commercial use. We employ the principles of creative economy to design and develop products for local communities in the south of Thailand; e.g. Ramdeang community: Node Na Pai Khon, Songkhla province for developing sauces from Palmyra Palm, Fish product packaging, Talae Noi Community, Phattalung province, Pinnata seed Jam, Chumpon province, Spa products, Khanom, Nakhon Si Thammarat province, Pineapple juice, Klongtom, Krabi province.

4. The Center of Excellence for Tourism Business Management and Creative Economy (TBUS) drives the local communities to operate and develop sustainable quality of life. We employ research outputs to drive the community. For example, we drive community-based tourism activities in Huay Nam Hhao, Klongtom, Krabi province. We raise the employability and career development, and also ce-creating the local community enterprise.
