Assoc.Prof.Dr. Jira Kongpran
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jira Kongpran is Head of the Department of Environmental Health and Technology at Walailak University, Thailand, with over 20 years of experience in environmental management, public health, and academic leadership. She holds a Ph.D. in Global Environmental Studies from Kyoto University and two master’s degrees in environmental engineering from AIT and Kasetsart University. Her research focuses on air pollution control, microplastics, plastic waste management, and health risk assessment, with numerous publications in high-impact journals. She has led interdisciplinary projects on climate change, pollution remediation, and sustainable community health, and is a certified Fellow of Advance HE (UK). Dr. Kongpran’s work bridges science, policy, and education to address pressing environmental and public health challenges in Thailand and beyond.
