จุดแรกที่คณะนักวิจัยลงพื้นที่ติดตามความก้าวหน้าที่ตำบลทุ่งไทรทอง อำเภอลำทับ จังหวัดกระบี่เป็นการดำเนินการโครงการพัฒนาเห็ดร่างแห โดยมีรองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ฉัตรชัย กัลยาณปพน รองศาสตราจารย์ประจำสำนักวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์ และอาจารย์ดีน หรือวิศวกรเห็ดที่ได้นำคณาจารย์และนักวิทยาศาสตร์จากมหาวิทยาลัยวลัยลักษณ์ ลงพื้นที่เพื่อพัฒนาการเพาะเห็ดร่างแหรวมถึงการจัดทำเชื้อเห็ดซึ่งจากการติดตามผลพบว่าเกษตรกรสามารถผลิตและเพาะเห็ดร่างแหได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพสามารถจัดทำเชื้อเห็ดเพื่อลดการพึ่งพาจากการซื้อจากภายนอกโดยใช้วัสดุและวัตถุดิบจากภายในครัวเรือน ไม่ต้องพึ่งพาจากภายนอก
ถัดมาได้เยี่ยมพื้นที่การพัฒนาผ้ามัดย้อมบาติก ณ กลุ่มแม่บ้านสตรีคลองท่อมเหนือที่มีผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ วาลุกา เอมเอก เป็นผู้รับผิดชอบโครงการพัฒนารูปแบบการผลิตและจะมีการนำโครงการส่งเสริมตลาดเข้าไปดำเนินการเพิ่มเติมก่อนเดินไปยังอำเภอเหนือคลองเพื่อติดตามการขับเคลื่อนการผลิตสาหร่ายขนนกที่มีผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ธีญาภรณ์ แก้วทวี มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์เป็นผู้รับผิดชอบ การปลูกปาล์มที่มีเป้าหมายการพัฒนาให้ได้ผลผลิตไม่ต่ำกว่า 4.5 ตันต่อไร่ต่อปีที่มี ดร.ธเนศ คอมเพ็ชร จากมหาวิทยาลัยวลัยลักษณ์เป็นผู้รับผิดชอบ และการเลี้ยงแพะในสวนปาล์มที่มีรองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ไชยวรรณ วัฒนจันทร์ มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ที่ตอนนี้ได้ลูกแพะเป็นรุ่นที่สามที่พร้อมขยายผลให้กับเกษตรกรรายอื่นต่อไป ตำบลตลิ่งชัน อำเภอเหนือคลอง จังหวัดกระบี่
ต้องขอขอบคุณ ศาสตราจารย์ ดร.กนก วงษ์ตระหง่าน พร้อมด้วย ส.ส.ดร.พิมพ์รพี พันธุ์วิชาติกุล ส.ส.สาคร เกี่ยวข้อง และคุณธนวัช ภูเก้าล้วน ตลอดจนข้าราชการในหน่วยงานราชการที่เกี่ยวข้องในการส่งเสริมและขับเคลื่อนการสร้างรายได้ให้กับชุมชนท้องถิ่นอย่างยั่งยืน โดยโครงการกระบี่โมเดลใช้นวัตกรรม สร้างรายได้ หนึ่งหมื่นบาทต่อครัวเรือน อย่างยั่งยืน ไม่รอ ไม่ขอ ลงมือทำโดยใช้ความรู้วิทยาศาสตร์ วิจัยและนวัตกรรมจากมหาวิทยาลัยร่วมกับเครือข่ายต่าง ๆ ภายในจังหวัดกระบี่ ตั้งเป้าสร้างรายได้ 10,000 บาทต่อคนต่อเดือน มาใช้นวัตกรรมสร้างกระบี่กินดีอยู่ดีมีรายได้อย่างยั่งยืนกับ เรา “กระบี่โมเดล”
