Walailak University is set to host Walailak Research Day 2026 (WRD 2026) on Tuesday, 15 September 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Phattharathammaporn Conference Room, 9th Floor, Building B, Walailak University Medical Center.
The event serves as a key platform for showcasing high-potential research and innovation, promoting knowledge exchange, strengthening research networks, and advancing research toward practical applications and real-world impact. It also provides an opportunity to recognize outstanding researchers whose achievements have contributed significantly to the advancement of research at Walailak University.
Exhibition Sessions
The event will feature four exhibition sessions highlighting research and innovation across different areas:
- Research Excellence Showcase — Featuring outstanding research from Walailak University’s Centers of Excellence and Research Centers.
- Fundamental Fund Highlights — Showcasing research supported by the Fundamental Fund (FF) with strong potential for further development and utilization.
- Emerging Researchers Zone — Presenting outstanding research achievements by emerging researchers at Walailak University.
- Innovation by Science Park WU — Showcasing innovative research and technologies with potential for commercialization and practical application.
Research Excellence Honors 2026
A highlight of WRD 2026 will be the Research Excellence Honors 2026, which celebrates and recognizes researchers for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the university’s research development.

- THE Publication Award 2026
- Field-Weighted Citation Impact Excellence Award 2026
